25 percent of the workforce in the public administration of EU-countries are older than 55 years. At the same time a new generation of young practitioners enters the scene and confronts the “Human Resource Managers” with new demands on the workplace. The Slovenian EU-Presidency has conducted 2021 two studies which bring new findings for the Human Resource Management (HRM) of the future: “Ageing and Talent Management in European Public Administrations” and “The Impact of the Common Assessment Framework (CAF) on HRM and People“.
Thomas Prorok (KDZ) and Barbara Zupanc (Ministry of Public Administration, Republic of Slovenia) discuss the findings of these studies and the requirements for a future oriented Human Resource Management in public sector in Europe.
