Last week, the Digitalization Working Group embarked on a visit to Linz and Vienna as part of the BACID III project (Building Administrative Capacities in the Danube Region and Moldova). Experts and representatives from Western Balkan countries and Moldova explored Linz's Innovationshauptplatz, delving into citizen participation initiatives and projects in the innovation lab, along with insights into AI at the Ars Electronica Center. The study visit then continued to Seestadt Aspern in Vienna, showcasing urban development projects, the smart city strategy, and digitalization initiatives.
Many thanks to all members of the working group, our collaborative partner NALAS: Network of Associations of Local Authorities of South-East Europe, Jana Belcheva Andreevska, and everyone instrumental in making these study visits possible. Special appreciation goes to Verena Weixlbraun and Sofia Calzola for accompanying the group.
