The # SDGs in Austrian cities: A comparison between 2017 and 2021
In 2017 and 2021, the Austrian Association for Cities and Towns (AACT) and KDZ-Centre for Public Administration Research conducted a survey among Austria’s cities. The linked blog-post by Thomas Prorok and Samantha Eigner summarizes the outcome of the two surveys:
In summary it can be said that cities act as SDG-engine. A boost for SDGs in cities can be observed between 2017 and 2021. Half of the cities already include the SDGs in local strategies and the political agenda. More than 60 percent inform the citizens with pr-activities about the SDGs.

# CSPF is featured in a recent publication on "Local Public Finance"
The publication "Local Public Finance" presents a wide range of authors under the leadership of René Geissler, Gerhard Hammerschmid and Christian Raffer, providing analysis of local fiscal regulation across 21 European countries.
Three members of the CSPF, Alexander Heichlinger, Emanuele Padovani and Julia Bosse, have contributed with a chapter on “Insights from City Financial Realities: Comparing and Learning across the Borders” based on the work carried out within the group.
The various book chapters provide a broad picture of local public finance regulation in theory and in practice, using different theoretical and national lenses for the analysis and addressed from an international comparative perspective. It is targeted both at practitioners in cities/municipalities as well as scholars.

# 𝗖𝗔𝗙 𝗴𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗵𝘂𝘁𝗮𝗻
We are very honoured to support the Royal Civil Service Commission of Bhutan (RCSC) by implementing the Common Assessment Framework (CAF) with the support of the Austrian Development Agency.
We started with the CAF in the Ministry of Agriculture and Forest. Tashi Pem, Director General of RCSC, officially opened the 3-days online CAF training. Together with a great team of internal moderators of RCSC, we delivered a very interactive and focused online training for 42 participants.
We are looking forward to the next steps together with this dedicated team!

# WEBINAR: The New CAF 2020 - Excellence through self-assessment in Public Administration
On October 21st the webinar will provide participants with practical and hands-on approaches to quality management with the new CAF 2020. CAF offers fast access to organizational assessment of public administrations and enables leadership to gain deep insights into status and improvement areas of their own organisation.
